Victoria has recorded 4 new cases of coronavirus and 1 death in the past 24 hours. The states total of deaths is now 817. Melbourne’s 14 day average has dropped to 7.2 , while regional Victoria’s is 0.5. A number of restrictions have eased in Melbourne today for the first time since the stage 4 lockdown was introduced in early August. There is no time limit on Melburnians leaving their homes for exercise. The travel bubble has expanded to 25km from 5km, and outdoor gatherings increase to 10 people from two households. Further restrictions will ease from midnight November 1. In regional Victoria two people can visit from any household plus dependents, hospitality venues can can increase capacity to 70 people outside and 40 people inside, outdoor religious gatherings can increase to 20 people, indoor pools will reopen at limited capacity, and libraries will reopen at limited capacity.
