Premier Daniel Andrews has today announced the easing of restrictions across the state, with cafes, pubs and retail allowed to open from midnight Tuesday. Gatherings of 10 people are allowed outside, with no limit on the number of contributing households. Beauticians are allowed to reopen for customers, and congregation sizes have increased at places of worship. Gyms and fitness studios will remain closed until November 8. Victoria today recorded zero new cases of coronavirus, and zero deaths. The number of mystery cases in Melbourne has dropped to 7, and the city’s 14-day average has fallen to 3.6.
