Venezuela: Attorney General slams security forces over deadly ‘excessive force’
Venezuela’s Attorney General Luisa Ortega has accused security forces of using excessive force to quell anti-government protests. She says at least 55 people have died since demonstrations over the country’s food and economic crises intensified in April.
The chief prosecutor’s office is also investigating seven cases of civilians being tried in military courts.
Al Jazeera’s Alessandro Rampietti reports from the bordering Colombian town Cucuta.
