Cabinet minister Robert Jenrick has conceded the rollout of coronavirus vaccines would be slightly slower than expected because of the supply shortage.
The Housing Secretary told LBC: “We always said from the start that a new manufacturing process would have its ups and downs, we’ve had some in past and I’ve no doubt we’ll have some in the future.

“We are experiencing some supply issues but the good news is that we are still very much on course to meet our objectives, which are to vaccinate all those groups one to nine by the middle of April, those are the people most vulnerable who account for 99% of mortality, and to give every adult in this country their first had by the end of July,” he said.
