Coffee grounds that might have been thrown away are now being used to grow edible mushrooms. The waste from mushroom production can then be turned into a biodegradable material, an alternative to plastic, to make insulating tiles for construction. The Belgian company behind the innovation says it can dramatically reduce plastic waste.
