It appears to be a last-minute offensive against Tehran as Pompeo and the rest of the Trump Administration prepare to leave power in Washington.
He also said he could confirm the death of al-Qaeda’s Abu Muhammad al-Masri.
It was reported last year that al-Masri was gunned down by Israeli operatives in Iran.
