As many American families struggle with a nationwide baby formula shortage, the military has now brought in 78,000 pounds (or 35 metric tonnes) of the highly sought-after product from Europe.
The first planeload carrying hypoallergenic baby formula arrived on Sunday in Indianapolis, delivered by the U.S. military.
The remarkable airlift will bring 1.5 million bottles of specialized formula to hospitals and doctors offices, at a time when supplies are perilously low for the country.
