South China Morning Post published this video item, entitled “US lifts Boeing 737 MAX flight ban after finishing safety probe of Indonesia and Ethiopia crashes” – below is their description.
The US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) lifted its 20-month flight ban on Boeing’s 737 MAX plan on November 18, 2020. The aircraft model was grounded in March 2019 after it was involved in two fatal crashes in Indonesia and Ethiopia. The disasters within five months of each other in late 2018 and early 2019 killed a total of 346 people. The FAA has ordered software upgrades and new pilot training to deal with a stall-prevention system called MCAS which was a factor in both crashes. US airlines will be able to resume commercial flights using the 737 MAX once they have complied with the FAA’s requirements. Support us: https://subscribe.scmp.com
