Global News published this video item, entitled “US election: “I voted for a guy named Trump,” president casts his ballot in Florida” – below is their description.
President Trump cast his vote for the 2020 election in West Palm Beach, Fla. On Saturday. Trump voted in-person in his adopted home of Florida, joining more than 53 million Americans who have cast early ballots at a record-setting pace ahead of the Nov. 3 election. With 10 days to go in the campaign, about 53.5 million Americans already have cast early ballots, a pace that could lead to the highest voter turnout in more than a century, according to data from the U.S. Elections Project. The rush to vote is a sign of the intense interest in the contest between Trump and Democratic presidential candidate, former Vice President Joe Biden, as well as concerns about avoiding crowded polling places on Election Day and reducing the risk of exposure to COVID-19, which has killed more than 224,000 people across the United States. Many states have expanded in-person early voting and mail-in ballots ahead of Election Day, as a safer way to vote during the coronavirus pandemic. Afterward Trump told reporters that it was a “very secure vote, much more secure then when you send in a ballot.” When asked who he voted for he quipped “I voted for a guy named Trump.” MORE: https://globalnews.ca/news/7417598/trump-biden-us-election-court-battle/ For more info, please go to http://www.globalnews.ca Subscribe to Global News Channel HERE: http://bit.ly/20fcXDc Like Global News on Facebook HERE: http://bit.ly/255GMJQ Follow Global News on Twitter HERE: http://bit.ly/1Toz8mt Follow Global News on Instagram HERE: https://bit.ly/2QZaZIB #USElection #GlobalNews #USPresidentTrump
