Former convicts in Florida have been unable to vote after Republican politicians passed laws to ensure all outstanding fines were paid off before their voter rights were restored. The change last year means many people who would likely have voted Democrat will not be able to cast their ballot. Famous Basketball player, LeBron James has donated money to help pay off some of the debts but time has ran out.
