U.S. President Joe Biden has ordered an intelligence review of the possible scenarios behind the origin of COVID-19, which remains uncertain over a year after the first case was reported in Wuhan, China.

Earlier this week, it was reported three researchers from China’s Wuhan Institute of Virology sought hospital care in November 2019, about two months before China disclosed information about the novel coronavirus that causes COVID-19 that was spreading in the country.

Jackson Proskow explains why finding out the origin is so important to answer one of the biggest questions of the pandemic.
