US: Democrats question Trump’s dismissal of Comey

Republicans in the US Senate are defending President Donald Trump’s decision to sack FBI Director James Comey.

But the outcry from minority Democrats is growing louder for a special prosecutor to investigate potential Russian interference in last year’s election.

Democrats say since Comey was overseeing the investigation, his removal suggests a White House cover-up.
