US cities to stage ‘A Day Without Women’ protests

Miami, Florida – Women around the world are preparing for a series of protests called ‘A Day Without Women’, a campaign highlighting discrimination and exploitation against them.

Organizers at the Miami Women’s Fund say the vital role women play in both the domestic and global economy is often overlooked.

They hope encouraging women to take the day off will show how essential they are to the workforce.

Al Jazeera’s Andy Gallagher reports.
