A First Nation in eastern Alberta is piecing together its past, after discovering unmarked graves near the site of a former residential school.
The Saddle Lake Cree Nation unearthed what they believe are the partial remains of several children who attended Blue Quills Indian residential school.
And it’s feared there could be many more. Kim Smith reports.
The Indian Residential Schools Resolution Health Support Program has a hotline to help residential school survivors and their relatives suffering trauma invoked by the recall of past abuse. The number is 1-866-925-4419.
