University in England developing a ‘republic of lies’ with controversial LGBT+ sign

Sky News Australia published this video item, entitled “University in England developing a ‘republic of lies’ with controversial LGBT+ sign” – below is their description.

Sky News host James Morrow says the University of Bristol is developing a “republic of lies” after an LGBT+ bathroom sign suggests not to question the gender of someone that doesn’t match the sign on the door. The sign reads: “If you’re in a public bathroom and you think a stranger’s gender doesn’t match the sign on the door, follow these steps: Don’t worry about it, they know better than you”. Sky News host Rita Panahi said the sign sends a dangerous message. “A potentially dangerous message to young women and girls to basically be telling them ‘don’t complain, shut up, don’t trust your instinct, don’t trust your fears’ and I think that’s a really dangerous message to send to young women,” Ms Panahi said. “If your instinct kicks in, trust that because your personal safety is paramount.”
