    This year’s International Day of Peace Observance is a virtual event held under the theme “Shaping Peace Together”. The online Student Observance begins with a dialogue between UN Messengers of Peace and young people around the world on the Secretary-General’s call for a global ceasefire and the importance of coming together peacefully to fight COVID-19. That is followed by the Peace Bell Ceremony, featuring the participation of the UN Secretary-General, the President of the General Assembly and the Permanent Representative of Japan to the UN.
