UN Security Council meeting held at Russia’s request on weapons from Ukraine conflict | LIVE

Global News published this video item, entitled “UN Security Council meeting held at Russia’s request on weapons from Ukraine conflict | LIVE” – below is their description.

A United Nations (UN) Security Council meeting is being held Friday, at Russia’s request, to discuss weapons from the Ukraine conflict “falling into the hands of bandits and terrorists” elsewhere in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

This follows a report released stating that Canadian-made parts have been discovered in Iranian drones used by Russia in its war on Ukraine.

In fact, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau shared his worries on Monday after The Globe and Mail reported on Sunday the discovery by a non-profit organization, Statewatch. Its “Trap Aggressor” investigation detailed last month that an antenna manufactured by an Ottawa-based Tallysman Wireless was featured in the Iranian Shahed-136 attack drone.

Plus, earlier Friday, the head of NATO Jens Stoltenberg expressed worry that the fighting in Ukraine could spin out of control and become a war between Russia and NATO.

More to come.
