UN: Israeli demolitions displace more than a thousand Palestinians

A UN report has found that Israeli demolitions in the occupied Palestinian territories are up by 25 percent over the last year.

At least 600 buildings have been demolished this year in the West Bank and East Jerusalem, displacing more than a thousand Palestinians.

Rights groups say EU-funded buildings have been the main target of Israeli bulldozers.

Al Jazeera’s Imtiaz Tyab reports from Um El Kheir in the Occupied West Bank.
