Al Jazeera English published this video item, entitled “UN General Assembly: World leaders focus on climate crisis” – below is their description.

With K-pop stars drawing over a million viewers and the UK’s Boris Johnson making a push for billion-dollar commitments, the UN has been doing its best for climate change to be the focus of this year’s General Assembly.

The UN Secretary-General says there have been encouraging signs of willingness from world leaders to help developing countries deal with climate change. However, a UN report last week called out major emitters, including China and India, for not doing enough to reduce emissions.

The push to highlight the climate crisis comes as this year’s General Assembly gets underway at the United Nations.
