UK’s coronavirus-hit arts venues to receive $2bn in grants, loans

The British arts industry has welcomed a $2bn lifeline from the government.
Theatres, museums and music venues have remained closed during the coronavirus outbreak.
Ministers say the support package will save the “crown jewels” of the UK’s arts industry, but cannot protect every job.
