Three months into repelling Russia’s invasion, Ukraine has now sentenced the first Russian soldier convicted with committing war crimes in the conflict.
This comes as the slow and bloody battles for land continue across Ukraine’s east, and President Volodymr Zelenskyy says his forces may be losing between 50 and 100 troops a day.
Addressing the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, Zelenskyy also appealed for increased and coordinated sanctions against Russia.
