UK PM Johnson makes surprise visit to Kyiv for talks with Ukrainian leader Zelensky

South China Morning Post published this video item, entitled “UK PM Johnson makes surprise visit to Kyiv for talks with Ukrainian leader Zelensky” – below is their description.

Six weeks into Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson paid an unannounced visit to Kyiv on April 9, 2022, a day after vowing to send British armoured vehicles and anti-ship missiles to Ukraine. Johnson’s visit to the Ukrainian capital included a meeting with President Volodymyr Zelensky, and took place after a missile strike killed dozens at a railway station in the country’s east on April 8. Johnson’s visit comes as a host of other European leaders have travelled to Ukraine amid allegations of atrocities committed by Russian invasion troops, including civilians killed in Bucha, near Kyiv.
