UK: New cigarette packaging aims to burn out smoking

New standards for cigarette packaging have come into force in the UK, in a bid to dissuade people from smoking.

Health authorities say that the mud-green cigarette cartons with graphic warnings could persuade 300,000 people to quit smoking.

But not everyone is convinced it will work.
