Uk general election 2010 results: conservatives gain dartford from labour 1Conservative candidate Gareth Johnson has benefited from a major electoral swing in the ward of Dartford, South East England, in the 2010 UK General Election which has claimed the Labour seat.

Johnson is elected the MP for Dartford with a huge majority of 10,628 for this seat which Labour won in 2005.

  • John Adams – Labour – 13,800
  • James Willis – Liberal Democrat – 7,361
  • Gary Rogers – English Democrats – 2,178
  • Richard Palmer – UK Independence Party – 1,842
  • Stephane Tindame – Independent – 264
  • John Crockford – Fancy Dress Party – 207

The Conservative vote represented a 7.6% rise from 2005, while Labour lost a huge 15.5% from the last election.
