The Conservative Party has claimed the 2005 Labour seat of Kingswood, in the South West of England in the 2010 UK General Election, as their candidate Chris Skidmore took a majority of 2,445 from 47,906 votes cast.

- Neil Dowdney – UK Independence Party – 1,528
- Michael Carey – British National Party – 1,311
- Nick Foster – Green – 383
- Michael Blundell – English Democrats – 333
This represented a drop of over 10% in votes for the Labour candidate and a gain of over 8% in votes for the Conservative candidate in this ward.
