UK expert scientists debate: lockdown vs shielding

Channel 4 News published this video item, entitled “UK expert scientists debate: lockdown vs shielding” – below is their description.

Should the UK go into full lockdown or should we only shield the vulnerable and let the young and healthy get on with their lives? We’re joined by Prof Paul McKeigue, a genetic epidemiologist at the University of Edinburgh and one of the signatories of the Great Barrington Declaration, who believe lockdowns are not the answer. They want protection for the most vulnerable, but say the young and healthy should get on with their lives. We’re also joined by Prof Martin McKee, professor of European Public Health at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. He’s also a member of the Independent Sage group of scientists who want much stricter measures in force.
