    In the United States, the number of people hospitalized with COVID-19 has hit a new record. And there’s no relief in sight – new infections are up again after a holiday dip. The surge comes as the White House is pressing the Food and Drug Administration to approve a vaccine, and as health officials are deciding who will be first in line to receive vaccination.
