The Isle of Wright in the U.K. is testing a contact-tracing app developed by the country’s National Health Service aimed at stemming a second wave of coronavirus. It’s the first place where the app will be tested in the country before being rolled out more widely later in May. Epidemiologists say that about 56% of the U.K. population must use the app in order to suppress the spread of Covid-19.
