Guardian News published this video item, entitled “Typhoon Merbok: severe flooding cuts access to remote villages in Alaska” – below is their description.
A powerful typhoon that hit the United States’ western coastline over the weekend, left residents in remote villages without access to aid. Locals were left without power and suffered severe water damage to their homes, as well as concerns over how to survive in the coming winter without provisions. Authorities made contact with residents living in areas only accessible by plane on Monday, to determine the need for food and water. No deaths have so far been reported but the flooding has affected 21,000 people who live along the coastline
