Two nurses and two healthcare assistants have died in UK with coronavirus in past 24 | Coronavirus

The health secretary, Matt Hancock, says “we are reminded again today that for the NHS this truly is the frontline” following the deaths of two nurses and two healthcare assistants who have tragically died in the last 24 hours fighting coronavirus.

He stated that the government are delivering more critical care beds following the opening of the new Nightingale hospital in East London this morning. He announced more Nightingale hospitals across the UK are planned and that they will begin the work on two further Nightingale hospitals in Bristol and Harrogate.

3, 605 in the UK have now died from the virus.
