A group of Chinese scientists have identified two high-pressure minerals, seifertite and stishovite, in Chang’e-5 lunar regolith. This is the very first confirmed existence of seifertite in returned lunar samples, which is the evidence that Chang’e-5 sampling area contains impact ejecta from distant craters as suggested by the previous remote sensing data.
