#Russian Foreign Minister Sergey #Lavrov held talks on Wednesday with #Turkish officials on a plan that would allow #Ukraine to export its grain through Black Sea ports to international markets amid an escalating global food crisis. Ukraine is one of the world’s largest exporters of wheat, corn and sunflower oil, but the war has halted much of that flow, endangering world food supplies to many developing countries. Many of these ports are now also heavily mined. An estimated 22 million tonnes of grain is currently at risk of being spoilt in Ukrainian silos.
