Al Jazeera English published this video item, entitled “Tunisia police storm Al Jazeera office in Tunis” – below is their description.
Tunisian police have stormed Al Jazeera’s bureau in the capital Tunis, expelling all staff, with at least 20 heavily armed plainclothes police officers entered the office on Monday.
They did not have warrants for the raid, according to Al Jazeera journalists. Security forces involved in the raid said they were carrying out instructions from the country’s judiciary.
Tunisian President Kais Saied late on Sunday removed the government in a move his opponents called a coup.
The streets filled with Tunisians, some protesting deteriorating living conditions since Sunday, while others celebrated Saied’s move.
