Trump’s senior adviser Kushner meets Iraqi PM

President Donald Trump’s son-in-law and senior adviser Jared Kushner has met Iraq’s prime minister as part of an unannounced visit to the country.

The Trump Administration says sending Kushner to Iraq shows how important the issue is to the president.

Some suggest this is a sign of Kushner’s growing influence in the White House.

Al Jazeera’s Patty Culhane reports from Washington, DC.
