As Donald Trump attempts to quell the ongoing protests, he’s now facing an unprecedented revolt from some of his country’s most senior and trusted military officials.
In a stinging rebuke of Trump’s behaviour, former defence secretary and retired general James Mattis has accused the President of deliberately dividing the country.
Other senior officials are speaking out as well, with the serving Defence Secretary openly expressing his concern with the deployment of the military on US streets.
