Trump impeachment inquiry: First public hearings begin

It’s the start of a crucial week for President Trump as public hearings begin in the impeachment inquiry – investigating whether Mr Trump put pressure on Ukraine to investigate his Democratic rival Joe Biden.

And crucially – if he violated his oath of office, by asking a foreign power to help his re-election campaign, while withholding military aid.
