Trump floats idea of delaying November election

President Donald Trump has raised the possibility of delaying the November election, in a tweet that renewed his unsubstantiated claims that a postal vote would result in a fraudulent vote. The president has earlier declined to say whether he would accept the result of an election if he were to lose. FRANCE 24’s international affairs editor Douglas Herbert says the president cannot unilaterally change the date of the election, and even if the means to change the date do exist, the process would be long and require legislation to be enacted.
