It was a visit that officials in the US state of Wisconsin did not want to happen. But President Donald Trump ignored their pleas and went to the city of Kenosha. Kenosha has been the site of protests since police shot a Black man called Jacob Blake seven times in the back, a week ago. During his trip, Trump decried violence at recent racial justice protests as “domestic terror” while denying systemic racism exists within US law enforcement. Al Jazeera’s John Hendren reports from Kenosha, Wisconsin. Scott Roberts is Senior Director of Criminal Justice Campaigns for Color of Change.
