Trump brushes a spike in Americans drinking disinfectant

Donald Trump has denied responsibility for a reported spike in Americans drinking disinfectant, after comments that he previously made suggesting that the coronavirus might be treated by injecting disinfectant into a human body.

He later said that the comments were were a ‘sarcastic’ question to reporters.

The Republican governor of Maryland, Larry Hogan, warned residents that it was not ever safe to ingest disinfectant or any cleaning products within the body to fight coronavirus.
