Trump, Biden supporters react to 1st presidential debate: “childish”

Global News published this video item, entitled “Trump, Biden supporters react to 1st presidential debate: “childish”” – below is their description.

Watch parties for the first presidential debate between President Donald Trump and former vice-president Joe Biden captured the raw reactions of American voters as the chaotic night unfolded. In California, U.S. President Trump supporters gathered on Tuesday in a restaurant where they praised Trump’s performance and criticized Biden’s. “Our president clearly, clearly established an advantage over Biden, no questions asked,” said Trump supporter Howard Burgess. Members of the group “Cubanos con Biden” (Cubans with Biden) in Florida praised on Tuesday Biden’s performance during the debate that was marked by personal insults and Trump’s repeated interruptions. Jennifer D’Ambrosio, a 40-year-old banker who attended the watch party, praised Biden’s composure. “Biden has been very cool and calm, keeping his composure where I think Trump almost tries to bully him a little bit,” she said, adding that the president’s attitude was “childish.” Trump bulldozed his way through the 90-minute debate, trying to goad Biden nearly every time he spoke, claiming that Democrats were trying to steal the November presidential election with mail-in ballots and declining to condemn white supremacist groups when asked to do so. As of Tuesday evening, more than 1.3 million Americans had already cast early ballots.
