One of Donald Trump’s most ardent supporters, who was famously photographed raising his fist in solidarity with protestors outside the Capitol on Jan 6, has faced ridicule after being videoed fleeing in panic shortly afterwards.

Online memes about Senator Josh Hawley, a Missouri Republican, have been going viral showing him running away from the same rioters he is accused of encouraging.

The footage was the latest in a reel of evidence released during the ongoing House committee hearing into the Capitol riots on Jan 6, 2021.
