Trudeau condemns “terrorist attack” in London, Ont. that left 4 Muslim family members dead

Global News published this video item, entitled “Trudeau condemns “terrorist attack” in London, Ont. that left 4 Muslim family members dead” – below is their description.

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau addressed the tragedy in London, Ont. that left four members of a Muslim family dead and one child injured, calling it a “terrorist attack.”

“Their lives were taken in a brutal, cowardly, and brazen act of violence. This killing was no accident. This was a terrorist attack, motivated by hatred, in the heart of one of our communities,” Trudeau said on Tuesday in the House of Commons.

The family died after a pickup truck, driven by a 20-year-old man, mounted a curb and struck them as they were out for a Sunday evening walk and then drove away.

Trudeau also called on Canadian leaders to take action and reject racism and terror, while also calling on Canadians to stand together “to embrace what makes our country strong – our diversity.”
