Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and his wife, Sophie Grégoire Trudeau were joined by Gov. Gen. Mary Simon along with former governors general Paul Martin and David Johnston for a flight to London, England on Friday for Queen Elizabeth’s funeral.
About 2,000 people are expected to be inside Westminster Abbey for the late monarch’s funeral on Sept. 19, and 19 of them will be the Canadian delegation.
Other Canadians making up the 19 members of the group are three Indigenous leaders, including Assembly of First Nations National Chief RoseAnne Archibald, as well as actress Sandra Oh and Olympian Mark Tewkesbury.
