Clara Sorrenti, a trans woman known as the popular online streamer Keffals on Twitch, is telling her story of being doxxed that resulted in armed police coming to her door in London, Ontario and arresting her at gunpoint on Aug. 5.

According to Sorrenti, a false email with her address was sent to the city council, claiming she had killed her mother and was intending to shoot people at city hall who were straight. Her real address had been given out, resulting in police showing up at her doorstep.

Known as “swatting,” it is a tactic of calling police to another person’s home through the use of a false threat.

Ahmar Khan spoke with Sorrenti about her terrifying experience and how the hate she’s been facing is because of her prominence as a trans woman and activist.
