China drives the engine of Australia’s economy, with the rising superpower taking around a third of our exports.
Australian iron ore, gas, and coal power China’s construction and energy boom, and our beef exports help feed the countries’ emergent middle class.
However, exports from four beef facilities have been suspended by China, and the threat of barley tariffs have producers worried.
And Chinese authorities have so far ignored attempts by the Government to discuss trade tensions.
