Top US security officials accuse Russia of election meddling

Senior intelligence officials have called Russia a major threat to US interests amid the ongoing debate over alleged hacking.

The head of National Intelligence James Clapper blamed Russia’s leadership for cyber-attacks during the 2016 presidential election.

President-elect Donald Trump has expressed doubt over the hacking accusations. He’s due to be briefed on the matter on Friday.
