ABC News (Australia) published this video item, entitled “Tokyo’s COVID-19 daily cases rise to 3,177, a second straight daily record | The World” – below is their description.
More than 3,000 new coronavirus cases have been recorded in Tokyo in the last 24 hours — another record high for a second straight day. Olympics organisers also reported 16 new games-related cases. It follows warnings from health experts that the summer would bring a rebound in COVID-19 cases, due to increased mobility and the spread of variants. New York Times bureau chief Motoko Rich tells The World residents are “really concerned”.
