Tokyo Olympics: S Korea team brings own meals over radiation fears

Al Jazeera English published this video item, entitled “Tokyo Olympics: S Korea team brings own meals over radiation fears” – below is their description.

The South Korean Olympic squad’s decision to bring its own team of chefs and food ingredients to the Tokyo Games has led to a controversy in Japan.

The South Korean Olympic team in Tokyo has rented an entire hotel, about 20-minute drive to the Athletes’ Village, to cook food for its athletes separately and screen ingredients over COVID-19 and radiation fears.

Some people see the move as an insult. It has added to already frayed relations between the two neighbours.

Al Jazeera’s Rob McBride reports from Seoul, South Korea.
