The Liberal Democrats have launched their General Election manifesto with the promise of a “second referendum” on whether Britain leaves the European Union at the end of the Brexit negotiations. They’re also calling for an extra pennyon income tax to be spent on health and social care … and the legalisation of cannabis. But they’ve backed away from their previous policy of scrapping university tuition fees, a pledge they failed to implement when they were in Government.
