Global News published this video item, entitled “Tight security in Washington, DC ahead of rally for Capitol riot defendants” – below is their description.

There is tight security around Washington, D.C. ahead of a rally called “Justice for J6,” an event meant to support the people detained for their involvement in the Capitol riot on Jan. 6, 2021.

Organizers are calling for a peaceful rally and do not want to see acts of violence, but there are still concerns acts of violence could break out.

As Jackson Proskow reports, it’s prompted U.S. Capitol Police to reinstall the perimeter fence. Every member of the force and the D.C. police will be working, as well as more than 100 members of the National Guard in an effort to prevent a repeat of the events of Jan. 6.
